| This 3,600 sq. ft. custom chalet, located in Whistler, B.C., is a blend of traditional log construction, post and beam, and conventional frame building. The street façade was designed to be warm and understated, with heavy log construction and traditional detailing. The base is clad with indigenous stone the gives the chalet the appearance of growing naturally out of the landscape. The architecture of the rear elevation is much more open with high vaulted ceiling and open lofts which capture the views of the valley and surrounding hills. Two suites were designed into the lower level to provide revenue and security. The interior has been appointed with all the modern amenities and has been detailed with highly crafted log joinery. |
